Gut Health Ailments in Mice Treated with Stem Cell Transplant

Chronic condition ‘ulcerative colitis’ that causes inflammation of the large intestine is being treated in mice by transplanting healthy cells into the sick intestine to help cure the disease. This is a great step towards similar results in humans and offers new treatment methods that will be less invasive than previous methods.
